FAQ

  1. Where are we located? Abrahams Hostel is located on Lower Gardiner Street just a 5 min walk from O’Connell Street. (Check out our location & directions page).
  2. Is there a curfew? Abrahams Hostel remains open 24 hours. We operate a security pass system to gain entry.
  3. Is breakfast included in the price? All rates are per person per night sharing and include a light breakfast and bed linen.
  4. Are there bathrooms in all the rooms? Yes all our rooms, dorms and private rooms, are en suite.
  5. What is the breakfast?  The breakfast is a light buffet breakfast consisting of different cereals, breads, boiled eggs, fruits, yogurts, jams and chocolate spreads, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and juices.
  6. What time is the breakfast? Breakfast time is from 7:30am until 10:30am and is self-service.
  7. What are the check-in and Check-out times? Earliest Check in time is 2pm. Check out time is 10.30am at the latest.  If you arrive before 2pm and your room is not ready yet, you can leave your luggage in our left luggage facility (which is free of charge) or our security lockers and then check in later.
  8. Is there Wi-Fi internet access? Yes, free Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the building in all rooms for guests with laptops, smartphones or tablets. For guests not carrying a laptop there are computers available (Internet 6.7 cent per minute).
  9. Are there parking facilities? Unfortunately Abrahams Hostel does not have its own car park. There is a multi-storey car park located on Marlborough street (5 minute walk from Abrahams) with discounts for our guests.
  10. Is there any luggage room? A luggage room is provided free of charge for early arrival and late departures.
  11. And are there any security lockers? Yes, we have a range of electronic lockers available for a nominal fee, which depends on duration and locker size. (Check out prices on our facilities page).
  12. How can I pay? We accept cash (euro only) and all major credit and debit cards.
  13. What is the cancellation policy? For individuals, we require at least 48 hour’s notice for a cancellation (Late cancellations or no show will result in the card-holder being charged for the first night’s stay). For group-bookings we implement specific cancellation terms.
  14. Is there bed linen included? Bed linen is included (pillow, bed sheet, duvet cover)
  15. Are there female only rooms? We offer a number of female-only dormitory rooms and private rooms at Abrahams Hostel. If you require a single-sex room and you are booking on-line, ensure that you click on the female-only option. Failure to do so will result in a mixed room booking.
  16. Is there an age restriction?  Whilst we do welcome children under 16 to stay at Abrahams our company policy states that they may only stay in private rooms or dormitories for sole occupancy, if you reserve a dorm bed for someone under the age of 16 we will cancel the reservation upon arrival and you will incur a cancelation charge of 1 night’s accommodation.
  17. Do you take group bookings? Yes, for groups of 15 or more please fill out the form on our groups page and our group booking team will contact you within 24 hours
  18. Are there disabled facilities? Whilst disabled guests are very welcome at Abrahams, we do not offer specific facilities to cater for disabled guests.
  19. Are there cooking facilities? We provide a fully equipped self-catering kitchen. Guests are expected to respect the rules of this facility i.e. wash up after themselves and leave the kitchen as they found it.
  20. Are towels included? Towels are available to rent for a €1 charge at reception.
  21. Any things to note? You must have valid photo ID or passport to check in. We are a tourist hostel for short term stays only. (Maximum stay: 14 nights)
